Councillor Vacancy Co-option Notice
As there has not been a call for an election to elect a new Parish Council member, the co-option process has begun.
Over Stowey is a small village and civil parish in the Sedgemoor district of Somerset, South West England. It sits in the foothills of the Quantock Hills, just above Nether Stowey and 8 miles (13 km) north-west of Bridgwater. The parish includes the hamlets of Plainsfield, Aley, Adscombe, Friarn and Bincombe.
There are currently no scheduled meetings
As there has not been a call for an election to elect a new Parish Council member, the co-option process has begun.
The Clerk has handed in her notice and there a vacancy for this role. Please read all the relevant documents and if you are interested in applying, please send the completed application form to: clerk@overstoweyparishcouncil.gov.uk
Due to the Clerk agreeing to stay on for an extended notice period until a replacement is found, there will be temporary reduction in the number of meetings held. Please see attached notice for details.
